THE STARS, the dresses, the hair the hair! Ooh we love a good award ceremony and this year's Golden Globes certainly delivered. Reigning Queen of POP Madonna picked a gong for best original song, and she deserved a trophy for her golden wavy tresses too. Here's how you can re-create her winning style.

Hairdresser, Lee Stafford says: "It's all about mid length hair this season but if you're bored of 'long' then experiment and create the natural, dishevelled wave to give your hair the new-season spin. So simple but edgy and sexy! The key to this look is that hair should be done but in an ‘un-done’ way, just like Madge."

Follow hair superhero Lee Stafford's step by step guide to creating the look he likes to call the Wavy Baby:

-       step 1: simply rough blow dry your hair and smooth through some serum

-       step 2: section your hair from the nape of the neck. Make sure you always use protection and spritz my ArganOil from Morocco Miracle Heat Defence Spray (12.99, Boots) all over your hair before doing any styling with heated hair tools  

-       step 3: take medium sections of your hair and starting near the root, wrap hair around the wand working down your hair shaft and down towards the end of the heated wand. Hold until the hair feels warm to touch and then let the hair fall off the wand naturally  

-       step 4: continue all over your hair and when finished just gently shake the hair with your fingers to loosen the waves. Add a light spritz of hairspray or a shine spray like my Shine Head Spray Shine (£5.49) et voila...loose natural tousled waves!
