GIFT OF THE GAB

GORGEOUS actress Gabriela Hersham is the face that the fashion houses want. She's starred in a number of films and fashion ad campaigns including A/W fash flick SHOELESS. We were able to grab some time with the beautiful and busy rising star to talk make up, hair and motorbikes!

Hi Gabriela, are you required to wear a lot of make-up as an actor?
Yes - much more than I'm used to and sometimes it can feel funny - but it makes a big difference on camera and it's nice to know I do actually have cheekbones!

Mememe Blush MeWhat would you say is your signature look when it comes to applying your own make up.
I like a lot of smudged black chanel eyeliner and mascara. Rosy cheeks (Mememe Blush Me and MeMeMe Little Angel’s Poppy Tint) too as I tend to go really pale (borderline scary) in winter. Mememe Poppy Tint

What about when it comes to hair. What products do you go for? How do you like to wear your hair?

I never put products in my hair and I just wear it down, although I do tong it (perhaps a bit too often!). Randomly, my mood really affects the parting in my hair - I have it in a side parting when I'm feeling soft and feminine and in a centre parting when I want to be bad ass!

How long does it take you to get ready on special nights out?
Ideally I'd have about half an hour, but as I'm frequently late I've had to perfect the rushed version which gets me out the door in 15!

Do you prefer to apply your own make-up or have someone do it for you?
As long as eyelash clamps/curlers are left out the equation (childhood phobia) I like having my makeup done by someone else. It always looks better.

What make-up item do you have an abundance of?
Mascara.  I use telescopic by L’oreal

Gabriela HershamWhat's your favourite salon/spa treatment?
I love a long, relaxing massage, especially when I'm stressed. I normally fall asleep half way through!

What's the strangest beauty treatment you've ever had?
I haven't really had any strange treatments although I do want to try the fish pedicure. I'm very ticklish though so it might be torturous.

How do you feel about growing older? Should it be done gracefully?
Yes of course it should! That doesn't rule out surgery or botox at all, it's just a matter of not overdoing it and acting age appropriate in terms of wardrobe and lifestyle.

Do you work out a lot to keep so trim and in such good shape?
I don't go to the gym but I do love competitive and extreme sports. My friends laugh at how competitive I am when it comes to sports. I've always been really sporty and I try to play tennis at least twice a week. I'm doing a motorbike course next month, but if my mother finds out she might kill me...!

Ooh you sound like you've got a daring side! Who is your ultimate beauty icon and why?
Good question. I love the elegant and glamourous beauty of women such as Sophia Loren, Romy Schneider and Rita Hayworth.

A few quickfire questions for you now, Gabriela...

Nails or lashes? Lashes.

TOWIE or Made In Chelsea?
TOWIE!

Natural or Glam?
Natural in the daytime and ultraglam at night.

Botox or no-tox?
Botox but only when really necessary.

Strictly or X Factor? X Factor all the way! I'm obsessed.

Finally, what's your top beauty tip for Queen Bee Beauty readers? Wear 30 SPF, even when in the city!
