HEAVEN help those who are camera shy these days. With so many of us living chapter and verse online, our lives are an open book... with pictures! So it’s no surprise that cosmetic companies focus on high-definition friendly make-up as they seek picture-perfect coverage for both real, and virtual, worlds. Fortunately for those of us who just can't say no to the lure of the lens,  Smashbox Cosmetics Girls On Film have a product range so convincing that it comes close to shattering the old adage that the camera never lies.

Their Blush Rush is a long wearing blush which has a nifty little mirror that slides out from the bottom of the compact. It's only small - great to take out for on- the-go touch ups - but you won’t get much blush onyour brush and there's not much room to sweep.  We tried the Silhouette shade which warms up pale skin and is great for creating cheek bones. It's an ideal shade to brush over eyelids, too, creating a natural look.

The Lip Enhancing Gloss in Underexposed can only be described as GORGEOUS. It’s an understated shade that’s gives a high sticky shine when first applied, but when the temporary tackiness wears off, what  you’re left with is a lovely natural pigment and nourished lips.

The colour of the gloss seems much darker in the tube than when applied.  Don’t be put off! If you’re looking for a subtle shade, this is brilliantly understated. A definite new-found beauty staple for us.
